Open Court Reading

Tech Fair Los Angeles Just Announced

The annual Tech Fair put on by CUE Los Angeles (Computer Using Educators—Los Angeles affiliate) has just been announced. The event will be held on November 3rd in Beverly Hills. I will be presenting a two hour dual session this year.

Integrating Technology in the Open Court Reading Program to Close the Digital Divide (for Mac/PC users)
Dual Session 1–2
Create eBooks, make films, and become digitally literate! This hands-on technology workshop will bring you and your students into the 21st Century with fun and easy technology projects that support your teaching of the Open Court Reading Program or any basal reading series. Learn how to plan technology lessons, overcome barriers to integration, and leave with a plan to implement in your classroom. You will gain technology know-how as well as practical classroom management strategies for successful technology integration.

Hope to see you there!

Flyer is attached.

  1. I am so glad to hear CUE is sponsoring this event! We need more media festivals across the nation and world to encourage creative expression with media as well as the development of literacy skills in multiple forms. Go CUE! 🙂

  2. Thanks Wes for visiting the blog. I look forward to the Tech Fair and am glad to be asked to present.
