There’s a lot to like in the latest version of the Mac Operating System“>new version of the Mac Operating system. I like the cover-flow type way of viewing files which is sometimes useful in finding files but not something I leave on all the time. I also find the new Safari and Mail greatly enhanced. It’s easier to post blog entries in the new Safari and I’ve gotten used to the most of changes to the aesthetics of the interface.
However, I must confess that I was on the fence about the new dock and semi-transparent toolbar appearances. I got used to them but sometimes they were not functional for me. It hurt my eyes to see the toolbar and sometimes I couldn’t tell which applications were open by looking at the dock without the black triangle.
Thanks to MacWorld for these tips on going back to the original look…
Dock Delight brings back the old Dock and OpaqueMenuBar brings back the old white menu bar.
Is this cheating? I don’t think so. I think I should be able to choose how I want my computer to display.
